My young friend Scott-Dobson Mitchell has begun blogging for Macleans magazine. His Decision Time blog reflects his experiences finishing up grade 12 and applying for University. Anyway, I figured if a busy guy like Scott could find time to blog, so could I, even if I don't get snow days.
I stopped blogging when I got a new job working as a mental health case manager. Figuring out how to do my job was difficult and writing about it can't really happen, in any but the most general way. Somehow posting entry after entry with nothing but "drank great coffee, worked too hard" seemed pretty pointless.
It still does, so this may be a one-off, but I wanted to take a moment and recognize Scott's accomplishment, one blogger to another.
I am, btw, still roasting and enjoying mighty fine coffee. It's winter roasting season, which means going to the garage sporting the layered look. It's not a fashion statement. I look a bit like a 4' 11" advertisement for the back room of the Salvation Army when I dress for roasting. The coffee of the day is a full city Harar Horse. Fortunately, it's supposed to warm up to -7 C today, as my supply is getting low and I will be putting in some garage time when I get home from work tonight.
I want a cold day. In fact, I want about 120 of them.
